Handmade Cat bed
We received a beautiful addition to our family yesterday as stated in previous blog post (a kitty). So I decided to make a quick cat bed for him to enjoy and sleep in. I used Items I had on hand already, So I spent $0 On this project. I used a nice sized basket I had used for socks before, but haven't used it in months, So I said hey great size for cat bed. I also used fabric I had on hand, and some cotton sheet inserts to make it more comfortable and cushion.
I measured and cut the cotton and fabrics and a cotton fabric I had to make cushion to bed, I inserted the cotton fabric and cotton in the basket to see how it fit,
I cut the cotton fabric down a little more to make it fit better in the basket, I sewed the fabric around basket, sewn at bottom and sides, Then basket is done :)
I loved doing this project. was fun and pretty fast. Could take longer if you want a 100% prefect job, but as I said, I was doing a quick job. Now the kitty has a new cat bed.

New Family member
We got an addition to the family yesterday. Was a surprise to My 3 kids yesterday. Had someone bring a beautiful Orange and white kitty here to my house yesterday. The face on my oldest (11yr old) face was priceless. His whole mouth fell lol. My 5 and 6 yr olds were happy to see new kitty as well, They won't leave him alone actually. lol

Usually you have to wait weeks to introduce new kitties or cats to the home, but My cat had already happened to see him, So i decided to see his reaction for one second, It was fine for a second, smelling and looking, then a hiss, So I decided to make a little room for the new kitty for a couple weeks or even earlier. Just so my other cat doesn't get depressed or the new one either. So I put everything in a room. (which was the play room). But not anymore for now. I also even made a quick cat bed for the new addition to the family. He loves it. I used a basket i wasn't using and some fabric i had, and some cotton (inserts) sheets (not bed sheet, It's a cotton you use to make cushioned blankets). so it would be cushioned. Pictured below, which I will do a different Blog post to show how I made it. (just something quick lol)

I Have to say Coppertone makes several kinds of sunscreen including for kids, I Got the opportunity to review this Coppertone ClearlySheer Sunscreen. I used it and it went on smoothly, It actually leaves a shine on me to, smells great. Does help protect from sun. But Broke out from it, Had an allergic reaction apparently. Now now all will be allergic, I know I am. But doesn't stop my positive view of it. I love how it smells good, The water resistant spray on didn't have the greatest smell to me, But it's great to use a water resistant one for those who love to use water in the summer, The lotion one is great, smells great, leaves a great shine, goes on smoothly. Won't clog pores or cause breakouts (clinically tested on acne-prone skin)
