Handmade Cat bed

We received a beautiful addition to our family yesterday as stated in previous blog post (a kitty). So I decided to make a quick cat bed for him to enjoy and sleep in. I used Items I had on hand already, So I spent $0 On this project. I used a nice sized basket I had used for socks before, but haven't used it in months, So I said hey great size for cat bed. I also used fabric I had on hand, and some cotton sheet inserts to make it more comfortable and cushion.

I measured and cut the cotton and fabrics and a cotton fabric I had to make cushion to bed, I inserted the cotton fabric and cotton in the basket to see how it fit,

I cut the cotton fabric down a little more to make it fit better in the basket, I sewed the fabric around basket, sewn at bottom and sides, Then basket is done :)

I loved doing this project. was fun and pretty fast. Could take longer if you want a 100% prefect job, but as I said, I was doing a quick job. Now the kitty has a new cat bed.
